History of Engines Express

Engines Express is a small family owned business success story. 17 years ago Jim Russell was a high school automotive technology teacher at Winona High School. His oldest son Robby was a service manager at an auto parts store. His youngest son, Randy, was the parts manager at the same store. The combination, talent, and experience was just right to start a family business.

Jim visited a number of engine installation centers around the country. A decision was made to try the concept here in Tyler. On July 1, 1995 Engines Express opened its doors.

The business was an instant success. Within 6 months the building had to be doubled in size. Sources for the highest quality parts and machine shops were located. Experienced and dedicated technicians were added to the team. Engines Express soon became the place to have the engine replaced in one's vehicle. Other shops and dealerships began referring their customers to Engines Express for the highest quality, quickest turnaround time, and most reasonable cost for this service. Today there are literally thousands of cars and trucks driving around with engines from Engines Express.

Well Jim has since then retired but stops in everyday to check things out. Robby and Randy are still there to see that every customer receives the best automotive service possible. We Are Expanding Services!! In response to overwhelming demand from our customers we have decided to expand our services to handle ALL of your automotive car care needs. This is in appreciation for your continued loyalty which has allowed us to grow and become the largest engine installation center in East Texas. We have installed four new bays in the last year, that gives us a total of 12 bays to ensure our customers are taken care of quickly and efficiently.
